What is the Energy, Economics, and Environment Summit? A Summit dedicated to strengthening business bottom line through energy improvements. Top panelists from local industry leaders will host breakout sessions on topics such as energy and water saving techniques, adopting a company-wide sustainability program, green building, how to tap local sustainability co-op programs and more. Also on hand, local vendors will be offering sustainable products and related services.
Who is Organizing the Summit? The 3E Summit Task Team is a volunteer team of local business and community leaders dedicated to helping local firms reduce their energy and water consumption.
Why is the Summit Needed? Some of the nation’s largest companies have begun focusing on sustainable practices and products as a key driver of innovation. Recent consumer trend reports have found consumers willing to pay a premium for sustainable products and brands. Yet small- and mid-sized businesses and organizations are not as likely to include sustainability into their business plan as their larger counterparts. These smaller companies see sustainability as a high-cost proposition. The 3E Summit offers practical guidance on how small- and mid-sized businesses can incorporate sustainable business practices and products into their business plan and increase their bottom line.
